BARBARIAN is a Heavy Metal band that plays a classical 80..s Heavy Metal and Thrash Metal style with agressive riffs, raw sound and a terrific live performance!
PEP founded BARBARIAN in 2003. It has always been a three-piece band and today the members are: Pep Casas (guitar, lead vocals), Simon Lamb (bass, backing vocals) and Carles Badal (drums). So far BARBARIAN have released three cds.
The first CD is called "Seguimos Avanzando" ("Still Going Forward"), a live recording with a few demos as bonus tracks released in 2006. This cd reflects the no-frill metal music the band plays in its most honest form, as the band didn't know they were being recorded that day!
The second CD is called "Heavy Metal Resurrección", released in 2007 with an excellent sound adding followers by the day and making a good impression on the German market, where they played in september 2009. The third CD is called: "Hell Is Back On Earth", released in october 2009,with an excellent sound too. They also sold records in 26 countries: Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Germany, England, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenya, Croatia, Chec Republic, Romania, Russia, Argentina, Switzerland, Bulgary, Ucrania, Bielorussia, Perú, Serbia and Brazil.
BARBARIAN have also played at numerous festivals like Panollo Rock, Metal Circus Fest, Festival Amigos del Metal, Metal Defenders Fest, Pounding Metal Fest, Metal Fox Fest, twice at Heavy Metal Heart festival, Leyendas del Rock Festival III in Mazarrón (Murcia) and at Sword Brothers Festival VIII in Germany. BARBARIAN have shared the stage with TANKARD, ONSLAUGHT, TOKIO BLADE, HALLOWEEN, OMEN, UFO, SAXON, KREATOR and EXODUS amongst other bands.

PEP would like to inform that:
Like many other older bands that came out in Spain like Lone Star, EVO, Fuck Off, etc, and were cursed by the false prophets of this country, BARBARIAN are being boicoted by the same people for not paying their imposed feudal tax. What these people weren't counting on -the people who call the shots- is that "Heavy Metal Resurrección" is for many one of the best Spanish Heavy Metal albums of all times. There is no need to name these false preachers of Metal, they will give themselves away when they feel mentioned. Fuck them!

Forthermore BARBARIAN..s music and vocals are an sound original and different to any other band. These "false prophets" can only rate or make serious review of a band if they can compare it to another well-known band, as they are unable to value by themselves if a band is good or not. Therefore they are lost when it comes to talking about BARBARIAN because they cannot compare it to any other band. The outcome is that they say the band is OK but the tracks are too long...(sigh...).

BIOGRAFIA:
BARBARIAN es un grupo de Heavy Metal a caballo entre el Heavy y el Thrash ochentero con sede en Lloret de Mar (Girona). Son la herencia de los pioneros del Thrash Metal en España: los FUCK OFF de la etapa de su segundo L.P. "Hell on earth". Se apartan totalmente de las nuevas tendencias y siguen en la línea más clásica del género.
Cabe destacar la trayectoria del guitarrista/vocalista Pep Casas, que en el pasado fue uno de los guitarristas de los míticos y desaparecidos FUCK OFF, con los que grabó dos L.P.'s: "Another Sacrifice" en 1988, grabado en los MEDITERRANEO ESTUDIOS de Ibiza con la compañía CLAXON y "Hell on Earth" en 1989, grabado cerca de Birmingham en los estudios OLD SMITHY (Inglaterra), bajo el sello GBBS Records, filial de NOISE. Estuvieron de gira por toda España y telonearon algunos de los conciertos de los alemanes RUNNING WILD y de los también alemanes RAGE.
Pep fundó BARBARIAN en el 2003, el grupo ha funcionado siempre como trio y en la actualidad lo forman: Pep Casas (guitarra y voz), Simon Lamb (bajo y coros) y Carles Badal (bateria). BARBARIAN ha editado tres discos, hasta el momento.
El primer disco es "Seguimos avanzando", grabado en directo, con algunas demos como bonus tracks y editado en 2006. El segundo disco es "Heavy Metal Resurrección", editado en 2007, que goza de un excelente sonido y con el que han ganado multitud de adeptos e incluso han llegado al mercado alemán, pais donde actuaron en septiembre de 2009. El tercer disco es:"Hell is back on earth", editado en octubre de 2009, es el primero que está cantado en su totalidad en inglés. Este disco se adentra, más en el estilo thrash metal y la calidad de sonido supera incluso al anterior. Se han vendido copias de sus discos en 26 paises: España, Portugal, Francia, Italia, Belgica, Holanda, Alemania, Inglaterra, Dinamarca, Suecia, Noruega, Polonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Republica Checa, Croacia, Rumania, Rusia, Argentina, Suiza, Bulgaria, Ucrania, Bielorusia, Perú, Serbia y Brasil.
Hasta la fecha han realizado numerosos conciertos y tocado en festivales como: Panollo Rock, Metal Circus Fest, Festival Amigos del Metal, Metal Defenders Fest, Pounding Metal Fest, Metal Fox Fest, en dos ediciones del Heavy Metal Heart festival, en el festival Leyendas del Rock III en Mazarrón (Murcia) y en el Sword Brothers Festival VIII en Alemania. BARBARIAN, al igual que ocurrió con bandas de antaño como Lone Star, Evo, Fuck Off, etc....y que fueron malditas por los falsos profetas de este país, están siendo boicoteados por estos, por no pagar el impuesto feudal exigido. Con lo que no contaban estos señores, los que tienen la sartén cogida por el mango, es que "Heavy Metal Resurrección" es, para muchos, uno de los mejores discos de heavy metal cantado en español de todos los tiempos. No hace falta decir quienes son estos falsos predicadores de metal, ellos mismos se delatarán al sentirse aludidos. Que les den por culo!

Además, tanto la música como la voz de BARBARIAN es original, diferente a la de cualquier otra banda y estos falsos profetas usan como baremo para medir la calidad de un grupo a otros grupos reconocidos internacionalmente y compararlos, porque , por si mismos, no tienen ni idea de valorar si una banda tiene calidad o no. Es por ello que se encuentran perdidos a la hora de valorar la música de BARBARIAN, al no encontrar grupo conocido con quién compararlos y sólo se les ocurre opinar que está bien, pero, que los temas son demasiado largos...(sigh...)
